Epilepsy is a very big issue in the all sizes of the Australian Shepherds.  As Breeders we need to help in everyway to learn more and beware of this horrible health problem.  Although there is no way in genetically testing for this yet there are several institutions that are researching and getting close to providing a test to help us breed away from this.  I have been lucky in that I have not had to deal with this issue personally although two pups that I have produced in the past have had a few seizures and are in the research database to help researchers.  So far it is not believed that these pups have epilepsy but it is scary all the same.
